Breaking News: Bruce Fein takes to his heels

A Sri Lanka Guardian Report with files from California

(July 25, California, Sri Lanka Guardian)The once upon a time Ronald Reagan administration Deputy Attorney General and the Washington lawyer Bruce Fein who threatened to line up the Rajapakse brothers and Major-General Sarath Fonseka before the Grand Jury in the US has now decamped from Justice for Thamils too according to our sources close to the LTTE-inclined Tamils in Canada.

Bruce Fein was earlier retained by Tamils for Justice, the organization that sent him to Toronto to raise funds for the proposed action against the two brothers and the army chief, all three of whom enjoy US citizenship status. It was reported that once he went to Toronto he decamped from Tamils for Justice and along with some Canadian Tamils Diaspora personnel formed Justice for Thamils which created shock waves in the community.

Reports indicate large sums of moneys were collected of which 95% were in cash and to date no receipts have been given to those people who generously funded the mission of Bruce Fein. Two of the Toronto meetings were held in the hallowed grounds of a Hindu temple and the third in a 5-Star hotel all meticulously pre-arranged by Tamils for Justice.

The Sri Lanka Guardian submitted twelve questions to Bruce Fein about this venture but he has ignored them and this, despite Tamils for Justice demanding that he answers those questions. He has also avoided having any communication with Tamils for Justice who retained him in the first place.

Bruce Fein’s charge against the Rajapakse brothers and Major General Sarath Fonseka was technically flawed; he could never have made any headway. But worse, he was teamed up with the very people who were financing terrorism in Sri Lanka, nearly all of them though of Sri Lankan Tamil origin yet citizens of the US and Canada. They were clearly urging, aiding and abetting crimes against humanity and that too against their own people in Sri Lanka.

The question now is where is Bruce Fein? Will he come out clean with the accounts and also explain his quick passage, rather a hurried passage, from Tamils for Justice to Justice for Thamils and now to nowhere? This is very unbecoming of an attorney and we feel Tamils for Justice must file complaints against him to the American Bar Association. Since there are also funds involved, he could be criminally culpable too.

The whole Bruce Fein episode stinks to the deepest realms in hell along with the LTTE terror enthusiasts in North America. We will soon name them one by one as to how they have behaved in a manner detrimental to their very own people – their kith and kin – in Sri Lanka. They have literally amassed fortunes on the blood of their folks.
