(September 17, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) EROS wishes to extend its praise and gratitude to British Foreign Minister of State for South Asia Lord Malloch-Brown for the way in which he handled and expressed his un-biased view and position of the British Government amidst many hundreds of pro-LTTE supporters at the meeting held on Monday 15th September at the Zoarastrian Centre in London organized by the LTTE front organization in the United Kingdom, the British Tamil Forum (BTF). Had Lord Malloch-Brown known earlier that this meeting was organized by pro-LTTE supporters, he would have probably avoided attending this meeting. The very fact that the true agenda of this meeting was camouflaged by pro-LTTE Labour MP’s shows the extent into which the LTTE as a designated terrorist organization in the UK operates within the UK Government establishment.

The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and their proxy agents in the UK capitalized on this event for their own political propaganda purposes to gain political mileage against the Sri Lankan Government by urging pro-LTTE supporters to ask key questions in favor of their fascist cause for the formation of a separate state of Tamil Eelam in Sri Lanka. What they fail to get into their thick skulls is that the Tamil speaking people living in Sri Lanka can never live in peace or harmony under the authoritarian control of the LTTE. We have witnessed this during the now defunct ceasefire agreement.

The presence of Gareth Thomas, Robert Evans, Keith Vaz etc who are all widely known pro-LTTE supporters goes to show how this event was orchestrated in favor of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and their demands for a separate state. All the British Labour party seems to be interested these days is the public votes from concentrated ethnic minorities clustered across London boroughs and have blatant disregard over how they obtain these votes even through the clandestine means of indirectly supporting the LTTE terrorists through their elected representatives.

Keith Vaz, a prime example, Chair of the Home Office Select Committee who was until recently Chair of the LTTE front All Party Parliamentary Group for Tamils APPG (T) and renowned in the public and media for his colorful past has learnt little from his mistakes. The Chief Whip of the Labour party seems to ignore these serious matters and issues in relation to pro-LTTE members of the Labour party as he is constantly under pressure of his fragile leader Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

This meeting that took place on the 15th was meant to be a public meeting with all members of the Sri Lankan Diaspora invited to attend, however the LTTE and its proxy agents as usual did not allow freedom of speech from members of the Tamil Diaspora of the UK and could not accommodate or tolerate differences in opinion other than theirs, which unfortunately resulted in the assault of Mr R. Jayadevan, leader of the Tamil Democratic Congress (TDC) in the presence of a senior British Minister which we believe is appalling. Then again when you have an organization such as the LTTE which is mainly operated by illiterate thugs from Velvettithurai (VVT) who lack good disciplined upbringing and common decency we are not surprised by such draconian behavior.

What the LTTE is fighting is for a mono-ethnic state of Eelam and to give them credit they had initially succeeded in brainwashing a majority of the Sri Lankan Tamil Diaspora in supporting their fascist cause, but now that is steadily changing at a very fast pace. More and more Sri Lankan Tamils are beginning to realize the true intent of the LTTE. The problem’s that our country is facing in the North-East is solely down to the LTTE and their actions. The hostility between the Tamil speaking people and sections of the Muslim community in the East is also due to the LTTE and their actions in the past and present.

The British Government despite proscribing the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) as a terrorist organization is doing very little to curb the money laundering, human trafficking and other illegal activities that the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and their front organizations are involved in within the borders of the United Kingdom. Front organizations of the LTTE are simply allowed to continue to raise funds through cultural events and launder the money back through HAWALA channels into the LTTE coffers to fund their terrorist cause against the Sri Lankan state and their representatives who are democratically elected. Now the Tamil speaking people trapped under their control who are being used as human shields. How much more do our community need to suffer?

Britain can no longer continue to play the “Double Standards” game, they must actively continue to take a more pro-active approach into genuinely assisting the Sri Lankan Government in defeating terrorism and disarming the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eealm (LTTE). Simply urging the EU to withdraw the GSP+ concession for its products is not going to solve problem and it would leave many thousands unemployed. Do they deserve this? Public remarks by Robert Evans, MEP regarding Sri Lanka the GSP+ concession does not really help matters. It seems that pro-LTTE British MP’s and European MEP’s are good at criticizing the Government of Sri Lanka on human rights violations and ignore the human rights atrocities and violations of the LTTE against the Sri Lankan people and its representatives from the SLFP, UNP, EPDP, TELO, TULF, EPRLF, our group EROS and so on…

TNA MP’s were not democratically elected, that election was a travesty of elections. They are not representatives of the Tamil speaking people, they are representatives of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and are subservient to Prabhakaran. Robert Evans, MEP lacks basic knowledge of the elections in which the TNA contested and how it was won.

The Sri Lankan Armed forces are doing a great job and Killinochchi is going to fall under the control of the Government Armed forces in due course and so will other areas under the control of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). Our Military wing (EROS), has successfully launched and completed 3 operations against the LTTE in Amparai and Vavuniya. The LTTE were under the view that we were incapable of dealing with them and we have proved them to the contrary. It is our policy that the LTTE should be weakened militarily and ultimately disarmed. A political solution can only be brought forward when the LTTE have no arms to bear which they either use to kill or intimidate ordinary civilians. They will always be a threat to any peace agreement for this has been historic of their organisation ever since the signing of the Indo-Lanka Accord of 1987.

We sincerely hope that other Ministers and MP’s will follow the view of Lord Malloch-Brown and deter from being coerced into supporting the LTTE and its fascist political propaganda.
