Soosai mystery lives on...

Sea Tiger leader Soosai is still living in Wanni - Brig. Nanayakkara

(February 16, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian)The LTTE sea tigers leader Thillaiyampalam Sivanesan alias "Soosai" resurrected from the dead for the seventh time in the last 10 years, reliable sources of the Tamil Tigers said.

The Sri Lankan military acknowledged the miracle a few days ago, but declined to elaborate on the details. They said: "It is still not clear whether it was Soosai who resurrected from the dead or whether Prabhakaran was the one who made Soosai to rise from the dead."

For an entire week, the Sri Lankan military made a huge noise, releasing daily Press releases explaining how they had killed Soosai. They also released a video of the Sri Lankan air force supposedly bombing his "secret hideout". That "secret hideout" happened to be the biggest and most visible building in the entire Pudukuduirrppu area.

Sources said: "Now that a recent recording of Soosai has been found indicating he is alive, the Sri Lankan military has suddenly decided the building they bombed was actually Swarnam's secret hideout.

"But for an entire week they have been shouting to the entire world that they were certain it was Soosai's secret hideout, and as soon as they found out that he is still living, they decided that it was actually someone else's house," said the sources.

However Sri Lanka Guardian learns that on the same day when the Sri Lankan media reported the death of Soosai in air strikes, he contacted a high level diplomatic source in Colombo and confirmed the news was false.

Meanwhile, the military spokesman indicated that Soosai could still be alive. “Sea Tiger leader Soosai is still living in Wanni and is leading his terror gang,” military spokesman Brig. Nanayakkara told Sri Lanka Guardian.
