The end has come

(April 20, Jaffna, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Great Leader, the Sole Voice, the proposed head of the new state of Tamil Eelam has not been seen for the last eighteen months. There have been reports that he was washed off with the tsunami waters five years ago and also that he has been left dying in some forlorn bunker somewhere in the north or even in the Wilpattu Sanctuary.

Other reports say he has a multitude of terminal diseases from necrophilia to high blown diabetes and it is only a much taller dummy with startling face resemblance is standing for him and even he has fled.

Unable to bring this terror guy out into the open, the much wanted international Tiger personality Pathmanathan alias KP is being slowly habilitated with the help of the arch Tiger conspirator Eric Solheim of Norway. Norway acted with utter contempt by flirting with Pathmanathan and this is certainly against the interests of Sri Lanka.

Pro-LTTE Tamil Diaspora has been whipped up to hold demonstrations demanding ceasefire, their campaigns becoming intense and even violent as the LTTE is unable to bring to open the world’s most brutal terrorist. It naturally follows they cannot because he is either not alive or too sick and gone. But what is alive is the powerful LTTE underworld that is involved in arms running, drugs, alien smuggling, money laundering and many other crimes. This base is most powerful in Canada.

How long can they hold the growing anguish and hardship of the thousands kept as human shield against their wish and with guns pointed at them and even used without any compassion whatsoever? Day by day, despite pressures from reactionary forces, the highly disciplined Sri Lankan Armed Forces under the highly determined leadership of President Mahinda Rajapakse have been making headway to ensure the civilian’s safety is their primary consideration before they wipe out the LTTE completely.

There has been a pause in the attack, warnings and extremely tough undertakings to break up LTTE bunkers to ensure the civilians’ escape. These civilians have been used to build bunkers and even that 3-kilomtere earth bund that the Armed Forces have now destroyed. They were also forced to carry heavy arms when they were herded to Mullaitivu from other parts of Wanni. Two letters from two priests indicate how they helped the LTTE in this operation, one from Father Pathinathanrand the other from Father Jeyanesan.

Finally, the flow of escapes has now become a flood and the end of the LTTE is just hours away. Still the LTTE has not got a leader in the front and a few days ago many of their top commanders were wiped out because of their foolish moves evidently an act of desperation without a leader.

The demonstrators in London, Ottawa and other cities desperate to save Prabhakaran never had any sympathy or consideration for the civilians who have experienced 15 years of Tiger terror and in recent days they were trapped under the most horrendous conditions and even shot at if they tried to escape.

These demonstrators only wanted the terrorist Prabhakaran saved.

Sri Lanka will now move into a new era of hope, an era when all the people of Sri Lanka irrespective of their racial and religious background will choose for them a new national spirit focused on peace and harmony. This is inevitable.

The demonstrations in Ottawa, London, Paris, Melbourne etc., show the total disconnect between the Tamils living in Sri Lanka and the Tamils who have been living abroad. They respond like puppets.
The situation in Tamil Nadu is on the other hand, marked by confusion.
But at last we can look forward to a largely terror free society, if only some Tamil politicians would stop trying to reap benefits from the pro-LTTE western Diaspora.
