Sri Lankans in the UK surround the Hotel where President Rajapakse is staying ?

President has ordered an airplane to be on standby in order to evacuate him in the event of any trouble in- Report

(December 02, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) After the Oxford Union canceled the speech which was scheduled to be delivered by President Mahinda Rajapakse, the Sri Lankans in the UK have started to surround the hotel where the President staying.

Our source in London confirmed that thousands of people are heading towards to the Dorchester Hotel with flags and cut outs.

"It is just showing different drama what we saw in Colombo when they were announced the result of the Presidential Election. But in Colombo the Hotel was surrounded by the military. Here it is thousands of people who are seeking justice for their own people," the source told the Sri Lanka Guardian while explaining current situation.

The Sri Lankan Military surrounded the hotel where the opposition presidential candidate was staying in last January following which the government claimed that the election had been won by Rajapakse with a huge margin. However, the defeated candidate refused the results.

Meanwhile another news source claimed that President has ordered an airplane to be on standby in order to evacuate him in the event of any trouble in.

In the meantime, the President expressed regret after Oxford canceled the event and said that he will look for another venue in the UK or elsewhere so that he can express his opinions.
