Rajapakse ready to protect Gaddafi

:Secret pact between two leaders?
(February 22, Colombo, Sri lanka Guardian) President Mahinda Rajapakse has sent a message to the Libyan President Col. (Rtd) Muammar Gaddafi in which he is reported to have said that the Government of Sri Lanka is ready to 'arranged everything' in the event that the situation in Libya becomes unstable, a reliable source close to the Presidential Palace reported a short while ago.

President Rajapakse and his Libyan counterpart are said to enjoy a close friendship as they have personal business dealings.

Like the vast majority of dictator-like leaders the world over Gaddafi no doubt has much of his personal wealth salted away in overseas bank accounts. Perhaps this is the real reason for Rajapakse's 'generosity'.
