(October 10, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Frantic efforts are being made to hold a anti-war crimes meeting at the fringes of the British parliament by the Sri Lanka High Commission in London.

The High Commission is said to have organised the meeting on the 12 (Wednesday) 2011 at the Atlee Suite, Portculis House is located in the environs of the parliament. It is a complex dedicated to the elected parliamentarian’s offices. The meeting will commence at 5.30pm.

According to information, carefully selected MP’s are being invited to view the Sri Lanka government’s counter product ‘Lies Agreed Upon’ to respond to the Channel 4’s much publicised revelation of war crimes in its ‘Killing Fields’ documentary.

The High Commission has decided to keep the meeting secret from the Tamils having dealings with them, fearing news will leak out and cause problems.

The newly appointed High Commissioner Dr Nonis and his assistant Mr Amsa are said to be using the expertise of government’s PR guru Bell Pottinger and the controversial All Party Parliamentary Group Head Lord Nesabit to secretly hold this meeting.
