Gota’s Secret Mission to South Africa Revealed

BREAKING NEWS

( November 04, 2012, Cape Town, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Secretary of Defence, Gothabya Rajapaksa has secretly concluded a mission to the Republic of South Africa just few days before a team from the Rajapaksa regime started an official visit to the African nation, a reliable source in the Sri Lanka's External Affairs exclusively told the Sri Lanka Guardian. Following this susccessful mission by Gothabaya, on October 27th, Saturday Vinayagamoorthi Muralidaran, Nimal Siripala de Silva, Anura Prayadarshana Yapa, Neomal Perera, Faizer Musthapa and Janaka Bandara were in South Africa for a whole week.

This visit to the Mandela Nation was timed before Gothabaya's recent visit to India. It is increasingly visible that India has been sidelined by the Rajapaksa regime in search of an alternative within the non-aligned movement. One will have to wait and see how this strategy will play out in the coming months especially at the UNHRC in March 2013.
