Just to let you know, I ...Thank you for your reply.

Just to let you know, I have never given a penny, there is the clue as to where I live now, knowingly to LTTE. I had to pay SLR1000, when I went through Vanni few years ago. I knew most of the LTTE hierarchy in the early to mid 80’s.They are all either dead or abroad now, except one person. I was not a fan of LTTE from day one.

I wasn’t questioning your integrity whatsoever. In fact I do read your article religiously. However, I cannot help thinking that your views are slightly clouded by the treatment you got from LTTE against LTTE. You were "dining with the devil". However, the hate campaign against you and more importantly the personal attack on you and your family by the so called “LTTE websites” is revolting, criminal and scandalous.

“Since there are unending accusations against TMVP I have personally taken up those issues with them. I told them if any firm evidence was forthcoming I will go public about their conduct.” Interesting comment. I hope you read reports by University Teachers for Human Rights (Jaffna).

“Let me assure the anonimous writer Arsenal above, if he raises any specific HR violations of the anti-LTTE groups with me I am prepared to take it up with them in a positive manner.” Sadly, I am not qualified to do this as I do not have any firm evidence to support HR violations by anti-LTTE groups. But I hope you raised the issue of those killed in Allaipiddy with Douglas D and the President. If you did raise this issue with DD, I do not expect you to publish this on an open forum. Obviously they would have denied it, just like LTTE do. As a matter of fact I happed to know some members of the family. Not denying the fact that LTTE is not a group which consists of angels, but I cannot recall any such criminal heinous act by LTTE on a family for a menial excuse.

HR violations by LTTE you hear from people in Europe are mostly hearsay. However, I am sure some of these are true stories. HR violations by anti-LTTE groups would be difficult to prove as there will be a lot of arm twisting by these groups. Any HR violations by anti-LTTE groups in recent times, you will not hear from people in Europe as these are mainly committed on people who are “IDP’s” , who have nobody to support them abroad.

Finally, keep up the good work and don’t make the same mistake like you have done in the past, “dining with the devil”. Remember, sadly these people you are dealing with have no respect for human values as we know it. You might not live to tell the story next time. Long may your “impartiality” continue Sir.Arsenalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09759576307954709545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2468613367801394261.post-5429935080844014242008-07-12T00:13:00.000+05:302008-07-12T00:13:00.000+05:30I am against all kinds of human rights violations ...I am against all kinds of human rights violations committed by any parties. I have personally taken up accusations with Douglas Devananda and the TMVP and even gone to inquire individual cases to find the truth. I have raised these issues with the President and Foreign Secretary of Sri Lanka. But unfortunately I could not point my finger specifically on the anti LTTE forces and in one case the charge of kidnap against Karuna was found to have been committed by the LTTE.

With regard to LTTE it has committed and is continuing to commit HR violation without impunity. No one could influence to stop their conduct.

Since there are unending accusations against TMVP I have personally taken up those issues with them. I told them if any firm evidence was forthcoming I will go public about their conduct.

I have experienced HR violation of the LTTE personally when I was held captive. During my captivity I have witnessed harrowing experience of the mothers and fathers searching for their children kidnapped by the LTTE.

I receive volme of calls from the victim families in Eroupe confirming various kinds of HR violations by the LTTE. Some of them I raise publicly and some of them I keep it under wrap for the mere safety of the family members.

Let me assure the anonimous writer Arsenal above, if he raises any specific HR violations of the anti-LTTE groups with me I am prepared to take it up with them in a positive manner.

At the same time either the anonymous Arsenal writer or an LTTE influential must come forward to respond to facts about the cases of HR violations by the LTTE. I will bring about thousands of specific cases with minute details. I shall start with some distant relatives of mine.R Jayadevanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17779150583230878755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2468613367801394261.post-46050785615017604372008-07-11T21:57:00.000+05:302008-07-11T21:57:00.000+05:30I want to ask the author a question though, I acce...I want to ask the author a question though, I accept the criticism and the human rights abuse issues levelled at LTTE by you, however I have never read you criticising either Douglas Dev and his involvement with nearly 95% of the killings and disappearance among the Tamil population in the country nor Karuna Amman’s involvement in recruiting child soldiers now and under LTTE, I know for fact that he was the chief culprit of this when he was with LTTE. If you have done so, can you point me in the direction of that article please?Arsenalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09759576307954709545noreply@blogger.com
