This private celebration was organised for LTTE leaders to celebrate Thileepan’s and Shanker's death anniversaries privately because of the continuing air strikes by the Sri Lanka Air Force, sources close with the LTTE told the LankaGuardian.
Prabhakaran attended the anniversary celebrations wearing his Hunter's uniform without his wife Madiavadini or his eldest son Charles Anthony Seelan (the so called Leader of the LTTE Air Wing), source said.
Shanmugalingam Shivashankar alias Pottu Amman, Head of the LTTE intelligence wing and S. Thamilchelvan Head of the Political Wing skipped Thileepan's celebrations because internal rivalry between them both.
