(November, 12, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) According to reliable information, controversial Asian Tribune owner/editor Kanapathipillai Thambirajah Rajasingam based in Hallstvakik, Sweden have demanded money from Minister Douglas Devananda recently for giving publicity for him in his web newspaper. Unhappy Devanada had given his piece of mind to K T Rajasingam and refused to pay anything to him.

The conversation is said have put both of them at a loggerhead. K T Rajasingam is well known for demanding kick backs for all kinds of reasons. He uses the Asian Tribune as his customer contact point to deceptively extract money.

In order to buttress the Minister, K T Rajasingam has gone out of the way to file a special news with the heading ‘50th Birthday of Douglas Devananda - Leader of the EPDP’ in his newspaper with the view to re-establish his relationship. The Asian Tribune editor had down loaded the biography of the Minister from his party (EPDP) website and reproduced it as K T Rajasingam’s birthday gift.

In a separate development K T Rajasingam has obtained £10,000 from one of his human trafficking customer who is running a shop in London and is said to be absconding from him to avoid returning the sum taken. He had promised to return the money in few months time. The customer in frustration has approached several people for help to get the money back and he is finding it hard to make any headway.
