There is still hope for peace

"Peace is a very sensitive thing to feel - it is not something that cannot be reached. Peace is what makes us feel that we are living happily as humanbeings. No difference inside the nation in relation to language, religion, race or creed."

(November, 29, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) We present here excerpts from a peace conference recently held in Colombo - very remarkable in many ways that gives a true insight into the minds of people who have helplessly watched all the terrible travails of a nation that has been splintered into the mire of prejudice and hatred. It is a nation that has been forced on its knees by politicians who neither have the vision nor the wish to steer Sri Lanka on a progressive path. And this anguish has persisted for 50 years now and the situation now is even worse.

Thoughts for Peace

'Truth to be told;
Life to be lived;
Light to be lighted;
Love to be loved;
Peace to be spread' -
