Another protest organised by JVP held in Fort

(June 11, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Urging the government to bring down the excessive commodity prices, the Socialist Women's Association of the JVP held an agitation in front of the Colombo Fort Railway Station this afternoon (June 11th).

National Organizer of the Association Priyanka Kotelawala and party MP for Matale Sujatha Alahakoon led the protest, in which demonstrators carried models of gas cylinders and other commodities. (More images Inside)

They demanded the government to end its corruption and wastage and reduce the cost of living.

Failure to do so would force the JVP to topple the very government which it helped to gain power, the demonstrators warned.
