Along the paths I walked

Along paths I walked
All through my life
Deftly I would spear
Into the Good Earth
For a sprout of stream
A task so delightful
And so refreshing
To mind, soul and spirit.

In time they all became
Little streams and rivulets
Gathering immense flows
And a great many of them
In confluence, converged.

And my heart warmed up
To a world of dear friends
Amidst cultures so diverse
Traditions very much varied
Yet united us as one family.

Wherever we may go
A sacred mission we have
To share our rich culture.
Equally, revere and value
That which is sacrosanct
To all nations and people.

The peace we have to seek
Hails from how we honour,
Respect and truly admire
The cultures so diverse
That have blessed humanity.

And on our life’s path
We must never forsake
To cause streams to flow
And generate the rivers
With which friendship flows.
