The email with a heading stated: ‘A MOST IMPORTANT MATTER, Dear friends, Kindly help circulate this appeal as widely as possible and if necessary speak to people and secure their urgent cooperation and help in this most important matter’.
Further statement to the email gave full details of work undertaken by Bruce Fein which is reproduced herein:
‘BRUCE FEIN'S PLEA FOR YOUR EVIDENCE. The time has come to bring the Rajapaksa brothers and General Fonseka to justice, especially Defense Secretary Gotabaya who is a United States citizen. The Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) has been internationally repudiated for its genocidal campaign against Sri Lanka's Tamils. It has been expelled from the United Nations Human Rights Council. It has been denounced by Nobel Peace Prize laureates. It has been assailed by every human rights organization that has surveyed Sri Lanka's bleak human rights landscape. It has placed every Tamil outside the law with its Prevention of Terrorism Act and legalization of assassination squads authorized to shoot, kill, and secretly bury murdered Tamils. Governments repulsed by the Rajapaksa brothers and General Fonseka are eager to prosecute war crimes, crimes against humanity, torture, or extrajudicial killings. But they have been stymied by the reluctance of the Tamil Diaspora to provide public testimony. Cases cannot be prosecuted in civilized countries like the United States, Great Britain, or Canada based on secret evidence or anonymous statements. The prosecution's case must be public and the accused must have an opportunity to confront and cross-examine the witnesses against him The Tamils' reluctance to be identified as a witness against the GOSL is understandable. The Rajapaksa brothers and General Fonseka are ruthless. They have retaliated against many of their critics. Tamils who speak out against them enhance the risk that they or their relatives in Sri Lanka will be detained, robbed, or otherwise maltreated.
‘But the GOSL's threats of retaliation cannot be rewarded with Tamil silence. Silence only emboldens the Rajapaksa brothers and General Fonseka to greater Tamil atrocities. No Tamil is an island, entire of himself or herself. The silence of one Tamil endangers all others by permitting GOSL crimes to be perpetrated with impunity and entrenching the power of the Rajapaksa brothers and General Fonseka. At this stage in Tamil history, silence is not a morally satisfactory posture.
‘I urge the Tamil Diaspora to share with me under a cloak of confidentiality all direct or indirect evidence that the Rajapaksa brothers, General Fonseka, or their agents in the security services or paramilitary organizations have been involved in kidnappings, disappearances, extrajudicial killings, or torture. ‘I regret your message only reflect that you are a LTTE front which is not helpful. Tamils will not get a free and fair referendum with the Sri Lankan government and the LTTE. LTTE is the worst. We must start doing self analysis of the destruction that we have brought upon ourselves and take remedial measures adequately. Inability to recognize the 30 years of wanton destruction brought on our people must be publicly debated without siding with the LTTE’s destructive war path.

‘Thank you for your thoughtful observations. The ultimate object of the BFP is a free and fair referendum for the Tamil people to choose their own destiny and democratic dispensation. Everything subsidiary is calculated to work toward that end. LTTE would enjoy no power or immunity in a free Tamil independent state than any other group or organization. I share your belief that Tamils must be emancipated from all tyrannies no matter what the source. Tamils for Justice neither takes nor gives guidance or direction to the LTTE. It is financially and otherwise completely independent.

‘I agree with all what you have said but is not prepared to campaign one sided. LTTE has and is committing untold human rights violations against its own people. If you include the LTTE and other violent Tamil groups in your statement, you will solicit our support. Your statement is utterly biased and does not help the Tamil people. You appear to live in the yesteryears to carryout a blind folded campaign which we have given up having considered the true situation facing the Tamil people.
‘You have to be caught in paws of the lion and the tiger to experience the real taste of suffering. Our people have to be liberated from both. You cannot ignore the subjugation of the Tigers which is worse than the Sri Lankan government.

I admire the courageous step taken by Bruce Fein former Associate Deputy Attorney General in the United States Depatment of Justice to bring the Ruthless Rajapakse brothers and General Sarath Fonseka to Justice, especially Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapakse President Mahinda Rajapakse's brother who is a Unites States citizen and owns Mansions in California.
17 French aid workers been shot and killed Execution style by the Sri Lankan Army and Pillayan Group in Govt. Controlled Eastern Province of Muttur by direct orders from General Sarath Fonseka.
Voice of Tamils with wisdom like these are very essential to have a lasting peace in Sri Lanka.
It looks like Bruce Fein a typical lawyer who is trying to exploit the vulnerable and hateful Tamil community from outside in while LTTE is doing the same from inside out.
This is another Jobless Lawyer trying to make some money on the side, by getting a group of fools together.
Bruce Fein is well aware of the wealth accumulated by the LTTE through extortion, drug deals and various other illegal ventures. He is a lawyer who will charge a good amount of money for his service; he sees a big dollar sign attach to LTTE. If he really cares for TAMIL people and would like to find a separate country, he should fight for the sixty two million Tamils living in Tamil Nadu under the Indian occupation. Tamil Population in Sri Lanka is only about 11% and most of them live in the South. They are integral part of the fabric of Sri Lanka. They are suffering today because of a ruthless maniac who could not understand the realities of the humanity. Rajapakse’s and Fonseka’s came to power only recently. LTTE introduce the violent culture to the Tamil population in Sri Lanka beginning nineteen seventies. LTTE killed innocent and educated Tamils and statesman including Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Neelan Thiruchelvam, Rajini Thiranagam who did not agree with the LTTE’s violent culture. IF Bruce Fein wants to help the Tamils in Sri Lanka, he should start gathering data to prosecute the LTTE leadership, it will be on pro-bono but it will be a great service for the humanity.
How about a more solid answer, with out LTTE and its supporters troubling the rest of the world, such as Canada, UK,Swisterland,AUS and Srilanka terrifying for a LTTE home land.
All tamils orgin is south India, why dont you rally against , indians governement and ask for the ltte country there, leave all other nations free of this terrifying mess.
