Police registration anti democratic -TNA

(September 22, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Parliamentarian Mavai Senathirah, General Secretary of the Tamil National Alliance, has charged that the registration of the Tamil people, who have arrived in the western province from the north, is an anti democratic act.

“The government invites the people in Vanni to come to Vavuniya for safety. Air raids are conducted killing the innocent people. Now, Tamils in the western province are called upon to register”, he says.

He added that this is a human rights violation and that the TNA condemns it strongly. - Sri Lanka Guardian
