President Obama :New hopes to America and World

(November 06, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) President elect Barack Obama is the symbol of new America. His election is bringing new hopes to America and also to the communities and nations of the entire world. We join the ‘well-done America, well-done Obama’ chorus line said Mano Ganesan MP, Western Peoples Front Leader and Civil Monitoring Commission Convener in a media release issued from his office today. The release said further,

Obama is going to the white house as the first African-American president of United States of America. Americans have elected Obama beyond racial barriers. The voter turnout is the best of in a century in the US history. Americans have made the dreams of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King come true. The so called Yankee America’s people have made those who named them white racist to put down their heads. It is also an eye opening to many nations and world governmental leaders. It is a message of change against racism and communalism. Obama in his acceptance speech had said that America would not be a collection of people but a real United States of America in true sense. The long suffering Tamil speaking people of this country look at the American change with hope. The hope that would facilitate a change from war to peace and depression to happiness for all the Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim people of Sri Lanka. The hope for an United States of Sri Lanka.
