(April 02, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Government has purchased two “Blue Horizon” UAVs from an Israeli company for a price of US Dollars five million and we are well informed that these UAVs are of no use since they are incapable of meeting the required standards. This purchase has been done through the backdoor with the influence of a Sri Lankan A.Gunawardene from a blacklisted Israeli company while sidelining the UAVs supplied by Israeli Government affiliated Israeli Aircraft Industries (IAI), which are said to be real workhorses.
These IAI supplied UAVs are said to be the informants for almost all the air raids and operations carried out by the military and air force in the past. However, it is widely believed that “Blue Horizon” units were imported with huge commissions shared by local agents and the powers that be. -Sri Lanka Guardian
