Terror Factory: Gruesome facet of terrorism

(April 03, Chennai, Sri Lanka Guardian) It is old and correct saying that one who digs ditches for others to fall therein may himself fall in them. Will this is true in the case of Pakistan too or the problem lies some where else. The modern phenomena i.e. Terror factory is single handedly responsible for the collapse of rarest resource i.e. Human Resource. We the people of the world should get our act together so as to do at least something in an organized way to completely stop the degeneration of human resources. The need of the hour is to stop all talk and do a piece of action or in any case swing into action.

Why Terrorism?

We, the people of the world are witnessing the gruesome facet of terrorism, which is creating ruptures in the minds of the world at large. It is indeed inconceivable by any stretch of imagination that the terrorism in its current chapter has seen the mushroom of the people, who like us represent the human species but for whom their lives are nothing more than the weapons of mass destruction. We, the people of the world are constrained to ask as to why the said people are willing to be used as weapons and create destruction and pain and create a question mark to the humanity. We, the people of the world are forced to ask as to why we are suffering a factory of suicide bombers whose sole intent and object is to kill their targets while simultaneously killing themselves. We are indeed forced to ask as to whether the lives are so cheaply available that they can be permitted to be consumed for pleasure of killing others and creating a terror in the minds of the people at large.

Why Suicide Bombers?

Indeed the cases of increasing terrorists who have become suicide bombers is forcing us to think as to why the people do not value their own lives and simultaneously have no pain in killing others? Is it that these people are intoxicated by those having incorrect perception of lives? The answer seems to be indeed – yes. But then the query emerges as to how and why the people are willing to become pawns in the hands of others and cause a question mark to the humanity? The answer indeed lies in the;

· Defective growth of humanity;

· Poverty of the people;

· Un-education of people; and

· Religious thought processes of the people[1]

There is undoubtedly the mass availability of human resources in some pockets of the world where they are completely degenerated and get detonated by the colour of religion and paltry monetary gains. The money shown to the people gives them a perception of bounty if they chose a particular line and adapt themselves to a system where the lives had no value, where there is only an existence in a particular cloth (viz. life) and which can be torn apart at the whims and fancies of their mentors. The gravity of the situation is so intense that it ruptures our conscience and seeks a solution, a solution which may provide us with respite and provide us a comfort and legitimate expectation to live in the normal circumstances rather than facing an uncertain life at the mercy of those hundreds and thousands of weapons of destruction.

Development of Human Kind

The solution to this un-surmountable problem indeed lies in realizing the corrections which are required to be made. Indeed what is called for is to focus on controlling the expanding terrorism and human bombs and suiciders by working on the regeneration of the human resource. Though it seems to be difficult as to how the human resources can be regenerated but it is not an impossible task. The solution to the problem thus lies in educating and correcting the perceptions of the people for their lives.

Qualitative Development vs. Quantitative Development

This solution can come if we the people of the world focus on the growth and development of the human kind in a qualitative manner rather than in a quantitative manner. This situation would definitely emerge if the nations of the world and especially those who are facing the mushrooming of human weapons of mass destruction to channelise their energies for providing the basic means and requirements of the people so that they are not constrained to consider their lives as bare existences but rather love to live and let others live. Definitive educational programmes which specifically emphasis on mass tolerance of the people towards each other can be one of the mediums to ensure the curbing of human weapons of terror. Coupled with the provision of basic requirement and mass and definitive educational programmes, there is also an emergent requirement of curbing the expanding birth rates in the world at large so that the people are not only in a position to achieve qualitative lives and thoughts but the importance of life is felt in the minds of the people. The solution also lies in, we the people being slightly less selfish and work for the societies rather than permitting the rich to become further richer and the poor to become further poor. The constructive programmes such as, ‘Social engineering’ needs zest from inside to effectuate into reality and therefore needs legs to stand[2]. The solution also lies in we the people having adequate resources to work for those having lesser or negligible resources and prevent them from getting entrapped to become the weapons at the hands of those who for the fulfillment of their vested interests are spreading the wings of terrorism and posing a threat on the authenticity of humanity.

Enticing Terrorism: Few Suggestions

Indeed the present day calls upon us not only to find a solution for the eradication of poverty and misleading perceptions of people but it also calls for a solution with the ones who are enticing terrorism. It is indeed an uphill task but is not impossible. The only requirement is the spreading of the messengers of peace and love of humanity to the people at large. In the present century, the mediums of communicating and spreading the thought processes is much more convenient and what is only required is a consistent untiring endeavour to work for achievement of our hopes and aspirations of peace and growth of the human resources in the proper prospective. We the people have to ensure that the humans are not permitted to be used as weapons but represent the nations with immense pride and create a larger world where the people through non-violent means may achieve their rightful objectives and provide a larger comfort rather than a life of suspicion for others.

It indeed should be our unending endeavor to create a checklist to get the terror factory indicative of degenerated human society trimmed and finally terminated and to make sure that the valuable human lives who can contribute in the growth and development of their respective nation states if properly channelised, be given an aim and object to live and not to kill themselves and others. If indeed we take a step forward and make an endeavor we the people shall be able to achieve the milestone of success and growth and flourishing societies in the civilized world of the present century and the episodes of terror as being witnessed throughout the world including the latest terror attack in the police academy at Lahore come to a complete halt and those people who are currently being used and abused wrongly are permitted growths and comforts, which may ensure not only a rejuvenated lives for themselves but also for those hundreds and thousands who are becoming preys in their hands.

[1] Overshadow the instinct of living in the world where the people should live and let the others live.

[2] Qualitative policy requires a mind that turn it into the reality by effective and balanced implementation.
