Tiger guns effectively silenced by the Armed Forces

(May 18, Mullaivaikkal, Sri Lanka Guardian) Hundreds of dead Tiger cadre bodies are lying on the battlefield they having come to the peril when there were no more civilians to shield them. All the civilians have fled the no fire zone when the Armed Forces breached some bunds, and once that operation was completed, they went into action.

Maj. General Kamal Gunaratna speaking to the Sri Lanka Guardian said that the troops are trying to identify the dead Tigers. Among those confirmed as dead are the political commissar Balasingam Nadesan and his wife, head of the Peace Secretariat Pulidevan and Ramesh. He also said that there is a possibility Prabhakaran’s son Charles Anthony may also be dead but this is not confirmed yet.

Contrary to the hysteria that was being let loose especially in the United Kingdom, France and Belgium, the humanitarian catastrophe of immense proportions thatb they shouting about never happened. If about 65,000 civilians, the very last batch could escape within a matter of few hours, that indeed is a miracle and a credit ton the Armed Forces.

There were no shooting at them because the Armed Forces took care of the Tigers and effectively silenced their guns.
