The Moon and the Eternal Barking

(June 11, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Guns of the North and East have been silenced, a near impossible task, a miracle and the unthinkable. With the backing of millions of dollars collected by a large Sri Lankan Tamil Diaspora as donations ,ransoms, extortions and racket money , with the backing of a well organised propaganda machine operated by Tamil intellectuals spread all over the world, with the emotional and political backing of Indian Tamils within and outside India, with the backing of international illegal arms dealers, with the backing of paid white agents of Bruce Fein and Boyle mould and with the backing of some Western powers whose survival have always been based on the principle of creating misery for others and reaping benefits out of it , the LTTE was invincible. The perceived invincibility of the LTTE shut most Sri Lankan Tamils including the UTHR up, brought most previous Sri Lankan government on to their knees, chased a large number of Tamils away to foreign countries, terrorised all communities in Sri Lanka particularly the Tamil community, intimidated the unwilling Diaspora Tamil to budge and misled Western countries to pressurise Sri Lanka to grant LTTE demands. Since the invincibility of the LTTE is shattered, no guns are fired, Tamils in and out of Sri Lanka can talk, the Diaspora can once again meet their kith and kin, all people of Sri Lanka can get out and live their lives without the fear of being blown into pieces anywhere at any time. Yet the barking never stops whenever the moon appears.

Crimes against humanity and the war crimes is the most recent slogan since the LTTE were eliminated. The influential Tamils and the others whom the Tamils can influence have started a vicious campaign against the Sri Lankan Government who removed the barrier of LTTE at a huge human and monetary cost for everyone’s benefit. Those who have launched this campaign pretend that they demand the investigating of both the GOSL and the LTTE on assumption that in the absence of the LTTE it is only the Sri Lanka Government that would be investigated. No other organisation throughout history has committed war crimes and crimes against humanity than LTTE. Although the LTTE has lost personnel it still remains as an organisation of which the leadership is claimed by various people at present. Although the backbone of the tiger is broken with the decimation of its military leader together with rank and file it still crawls with its supporters abroad. LTTE could not have become that powerful without the fiancés, arms and propaganda provided by its agents overseas. Those who provided money, equipment, arms and publicity are all part of LTTE. They are responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the absence of Prabhakaran and his terrorist colleagues because without their services those crimes would not have been committed. Therefore, the propagators of this campaign may have mistaken if they have assumed that it is only the government of Sri Lanka are going to be accountable.

This writer wrote an article entitled “Live and Let Live” to Sri Lanka Guardian that appeared moths before LTTE was annihilated, in anticipation of the large number of human lives to be lost including Sri Lanka soldiers, LTTE carders and the civilians. Did the LTTE listen? Did the Tamil parents have any influence on their brainwashed and misguided children?

All Sri Lankans expected the killings to stop, to move freely, to educate their children, develop a decent living, live to see their children grow and give grand children and as DBS says to integrate, to inter-depend and live in harmony. This government has created that initial environment. All Sri Lankans welcome the opportunity. Who do not, the parayas, the foreigners. They may be of Sri Lankan origin, still foreigners who have no business within Sri Lanka, particularly no business in corrupting the minds of innocent Sri Lanka Tamils leading them on the garden path again. Stop barking!
