(November 07, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) TNA parliamentarian Selvam Adaikalanathan has been released few hours after serving Detention Order by the Terrorism Investigation Department coming under the ambit of the Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapakse.

It was reported that Selam Adaikalanathan was taken for further interrogation by the TID after issuing him with Detention Order and was taken to the Bogambara prison.

According to sources, the government had to backtrack following pressures from certain international quarters.

Selvan Adikalanathan MP has been freed and sources said he has joined his family.
