(September 13, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) A woman launched a protest campaign outside Sujatha Vidyalaya, Matara demanding that her child be given admission, but the school rejected the plea.

The woman sat in front of the school with her two children including the girl whom she said was eligible to enter the school.

However the school which had interviewed the child earlier and given 96 marks said they had investigated into a complaint and found that the original owner of the house from where she had applied for had now returned and therefore was not eligible for admission.
