No army camps in the north will be dismantled says Maithripala

( January 1, 2015, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Common Opposition Presidential candidate Maithripla Sirisena has pledged not to dismantle a single army camp in the north but create a condusive environment where the Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims can live in harmony.

He made the declaration addressing a public rally in Puttalam on Wednesday (December 31).

He said that with the establishment of a National Unity Government all communities will be safeguarded and what will be of foremost value is not individual interests but the people's interests and country.

Maithripala Sirisena reiterated that there will be no room for the LTTE to raise its head again contrary to the false information touted by President Mahinda Rajapaksa that a war situation could arise in the country under a new government.
