"Chinthanya" attacks opposition parties

(December, 17, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Samanthurai Office of former SLMC Minister Faizal Cassim was set on fire by an unidentified gang this morning, source in the area said.

It is believed that this is a retaliatory action by Govt. backed thugs against Cassim’s cross over to the Opposition last week and his voting against the budget, the sources added.

Meanwhile, two buses carrying passengers after the UNP convention held in Gampaha yesterday (16 Dec) were attacked allegedly by Govt. backed thugs under ruling SLFP organizer in Gampha at Mahara , Kadawatha.
