Government analyst visits Sripathi accident site

(February 13, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) A team of forensic experts led by a Government Analyst Tuesday afternoon visited the site where Gampaha district parliamentarian Mr. Sripathi Sooriyarachchi was killed in an automobile accident, and conducted examinations, sources said.

Meanwhile, a special police team appointed to conduct further investigation into the road accident is to record statements of persons who had last met the deceased, police sources said.

Western People’s Front (WPF) Leader Mano Ganesan M .P.,speaking to the Media upon his return from abroad said he had strong suspicions about the circumstances surrounding the death of Sripathy Sooriyaracchi , a vociferous and arch critic of the Govt. and its treacheries.

He insisted that an international probe be conducted on this.
Mano Ganesan, himself was under threats to his life from the autocratic regime of Rajapakse. Mano said, he returned to Sri Lanka because he had faith in the Judiciary irrespective of Govt. despotism
