Meeting of Diaspora Tamil Associations in UK

(March 09, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) Following recent nine member delegation visit to Sri Lanka, and on the request of some of the Tamil organisations, a meeting will be held to form a common body to agree and work on a minimum working programme. Those organisations and individuals, who subscribe to peaceful and non violent resolution to the conflict in Sri Lanka are welcome to attend the meeting.

The meeting will be held on 29 (Saturday) March 2008 between 6.00pm -11.00pm.

Following matters will be considered and if possible decisions made at the meeting:

• Form an organisation structure to work on a minimum working programme.
  
  Identify the minimum programme for the new structure.
  
  Prior to commencement of the meeting, a British parliamentarian and a leading political figure from Sri Lanka will be addressing the gathering.
