Words from my tongue

Words I utter never on tongue play

Tiding over our fleeting moments

Casual contacts and aimless talk

Rampant gossips and tittle-tattles.

Words have spirit and meanings

They are precious and powerful

In spontaneous flow from within

Expressing my deepest notions.

Words I utter never on tongue play

Arrogant threats inciting terror

Swears, curses, plagues wished

To strike panic amidst our foes.

Words have spirit and meanings

They soothe the troubled heart

Bond together shattered minds

And heal all emotional wounds

Words I utter never on tongue play

Deceit, fraud and corrupt scams

Cheating sales talks all for gain

Sting operations mean and cruel.

Words have spirit and meanings

Seeking the pursuit of harmony

Praying for calm and tranquility

Without violence whatsoever.

Words I utter never on tongue play

Pretending a lot of tender feel

But in reality sheer insincerity

And selfish goals premeditated.

Words have spirit and meanings

For the spirited and the daring

For in life’s long mortal journey

Words must reflect our integrity.
