(July 19, Batticaloa, Sri Lanka Guardian) News reaching from reliable sources in the east confirms, the two refrigerated trucks given to the Minister Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias Col. Karuna by an NGO were hidden in the jungle by the brothers of Karuna’s newly found girl friend who is his official secretary at his Ministry.
The recovered vehicles have now been handed over to the Eastern Provincial government to be used by the administration to help the fishermen in the area.
At the time of writing this report, there is no indication that anyone has been arrested in connection with the scandal and whether political pressure was put from Colombo to abate the issue becoming a debate.

It may be true of false. But Karuna have to be protected by the government for the help he gave by moving away from Prbhakaran politics. We cannot penalize everyone who was mislead by LTTE politics. Like the JVP we have a duty to rehabilitate these mislead citizens to form good governess. At no time the President suggested to destroy everyone in LTTE. The government did offer amnesty to everyone up to the very last minute, which Prbhakaran did not accept for this own illiterate calculation.
