What happened, two freezer trucks that received Minister Karuna?

‘Few days after the handover to the Minister, these two trucks had disappeared. The NGO concerned too is said to be worried about the disappearance.

(July 18, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Non cabinet portfolio National Integration Minister Vinayagamoorthi Muralitharan, nom de guerre Col.Karuna (whilst he was the Tamil Tiger military commander) is said to be implicated in a questionable conduct in the East province recently.

According to our correspondent in Trincomalee, ‘the NGO Sewalanka Foundation had handed over two freezer trucks to Col. Karuna to help the people involved in fishing industry in the East’.

‘Few days after the handover to the Minister, these two trucks had disappeared. The NGO concerned too is said to be worried about the disappearance. According to information these trucks have now been found inside the jungle and Sri Lanka army military intelligence unit has started an investigation’ the source told the Sri Lanka Guardian.

The reliable source confirmed that the said Minister was planning to give these two trucks to one of the brothers of his girl friend attached to his Ministry. Some people and the administrative staff of the Eastern Provincial Council are said have queried his intentions. When the issue became controversial, he had told his colleagues to hide the trucks somewhere until the heat is over. Now that the military intelligence has found these vehicles the matter is expected to cause big embarrassment for Col Karuna, if the matter is not hushed by the officials.

Sewalanka Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that was incorporated in 1992.

Sewalanka Foundations conduct has to examine before we investigate what happened to the glorified freezer trucks. If this foundation was active since 1992 there would have been very many interesting items they may have imported to the country such as submarines and small air crafts. It is good that they have become vocal about their missing freezer trucks. But all these long years they have never uttered anything about items going missing though LTTE has benefited immensely by their presence. However the security forces are still unearthing huge cache of weapons from rebel controlled areas. I wonder the glorified Sevalanka foundation does have other interests in Sri Lanka than the one surfacing.

This is indeed a job for the Chief of Defence Staff General Sarath Fonseka.
The need for this institution and a stern administrator of the kind of General Sarath Fonseka clearly proves the need of the reality that, apart from winning the war of violence, there are two more wars in Sri Lankan yet to be won - one the war against the "deceptive and hounding false journalists/media. The other the INGO's and NGO's that have been destroying the harmony and peace of the TAMIL people by misguiding them since 1956 and indirectly and covertly supporting TERRORISM and armed violence in Sri Lanka since 1969. The Chief of Defence Staff Institution/Department must immediately start probing Sewa Lanka and it's involvements in the East during the last 23 years.
Many more daring information will me revealed if such an probe/inquiry is done.
