(October 07, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Government of the Russian Federation will donate a consignment worth (US$303,000) for the purpose of the humanitarian assistance in Sri Lanka.
A special aircraft comprising the said consignment will be reached to BIA, Katunayake on 07th October 2009 at 10.30 p.m. by flight (SUM 9705) with a delegation headed by Ms. O. Vorobievskaya, Senior Specialist Expert, Development of International Relations of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
Abdul Risath Bathiyutheen, Minister of Resettlement and Disaster Relief Services and Romesh Jayasinghe, Secretary/ Foreign Affairs will receive the above at the BIA. -Sri Lanka Guardian
