(May 25, New Delhi, Sri Lanka Guardian) According to a reliable Indian Foreign Office source, India is said to be very displeased with Sri Lanka on some of the serious issues and these have been raised with the Islands External Affairs Minister Prof G L Pieris during his visit to New Delhi last week.

The Indian Foreign Office source requesting Sri Lanka Guardian to maintain anonymity said, ‘ It is ridicules. The government of Sri Lanka is trying to cover-up all its dirty work against the ethnic Tamil people, whilst giving luxury treatment to a wanted LTTE terrorist leader Kuman Pathmanadan a.k.a K.P.’

According to the source, during the meeting with Prof G L Pieris, one Indian senior official had raised this matter with him.

Sri Lanka Guardian was told that the Government of India has requested KP’s extradition for interrogation over the killing of Rajiv Gandhi. Prof. Pieris in responding had said he has to discuss with the Defence establishment in Colombo for a decision to extradite KP.
