Corrupts, Anarchist Gang of Traitors in Nepal

| by Dirgha Raj Prasai

( September 11, 2012, Kathmandu, Sri Lanka Guardian) Regardless of the aspirations of the Nepalese people, the Maoists, Nepali Congress (NC) and UML are the repercussions caused treason by a single Gang. It is worthless to think that they would provide a solution for the nation. They do what they are told by India, EU, and then follow their directions. The source of manipulation of the two senior Maoists– Prachanda and Baburam Bhattarai is clear as a destructor before everyone. In spite of such clear facts we must question why NC and UML are busy acting in sycophantic way to the Maoists. They have also become Indian cards. Will the nation find a solution when such contractors are bent on preventing the nation from progressing? The crow will never become white by bathing. A donkey will not transform into a cow by bathing. Should we or should we not call them traitors who bargain off the nation for money and position? Nepal faces such a plight for failing to bring these traitors to people’s trail. The nation must be able to take action against such corrupt traitors in time.

The Himalayan Times daily newspaper's editorial writes in 10 Sep.2012-' Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has been revealing his true colors. When he came to head the government, there were high expectations which never were met. Here is a man who is showing his authoritarian tendency, which is unbecoming for someone who holds the highest post in the administration. State power is not for attaining the wants for individual gain. The country’s politics is at the crossroads and desperately in need of an outlet, which has proved elusive so far. The Prime Minister seems to be clinging to power at all cost and the lure for power seems to have gone into his head. The state power that Bhattarai talks about is what the Maoist party has all along been talking about, which is aimed at the creation of an authoritarian regime—the vilest political system possible. The intentions are filled with malevolence for the peace loving Nepali people who made the grand mistake of reposing faith on him. However, the evil designs are not going to materialize because the people will not let him play with democracy.

The Maoist leaders have repeatedly been making known their intentions for ultimately capturing state power. This is indeed shameful, particularly now that the country is in a difficult transient period and could better do without such statements or rather intentions. With these intentions, he does not have a role in diffusing the country’s woes.'

Nepal is the land of Hinduism and Buddhism. it stands alone as a peaceful nation in world. Now it has turned into a battle ground for foreign powers. Nepal is in degrading position. These traitors took billions in economic support at the initiative of Indian intelligence agency and European nations to turn Nepal into a Christian state. To accomplish their objective they staged a drama of agitation in the name of Constituent Assembly (CA) to establish secularism, republicanism and federalism, which has strangulated Nepal. The faces of the incumbent Prime Minister- Maoists’ leader Baburam Bhattarai, Prachanda, former House Speaker Subash Nemwang, Madhav nepal, Jhalanath Khanal, Bamdev, Sushil Koirala, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Ram Chandra Poudel, Krishna Sitaula and former leftist Nilambar Acharya, and some nonsense corrupts Madhesi leaders including leaders from NC and UML are disgusting. They disgust me.

There would not be a Nepalese person who would not be furious at these traitors. In the main NC late leader, former PM Girija Prasad Koirala, is responsible in brining Nepal to such a plight. Although he has passed away he will never be rid of the stain of treason. NC had declared a bounty on the heads of Maoists by branding them terrorists during the insurgency period. However, Girija Prasad, attracted by the prospect of leading the agitation and becoming the PM, took suggestions from Indian intelligence agency, and shook hands with the same Maoists. UML and Madhav Nepal have no real status and they too happily followed NC to befriend Maoists. Let’s us think, what can be more treacherous than this?

People say, “Dirgha Raj Prasai mentions people by name and becomes the enemy of all.” Can’t I mention a traitor by name when I know that person? I’m proud of being a Nepali. From the beginning I have not balked at mentioning the traitors by name for sake of Nepal’s nationality and democracy. If some body praises me or disregards, is not my concern. My concern is only my nationality with sovereignty. Let it be, since the beginning in 1961, and then, I became a supporter of Panchayat leader Surya Bahadur Thapa. After a year I came to know of his corrupt activities and then I started opposing him. Then I went on to lend my support to the then Prime Minister Kirti Nidhi Bista. He had contributed in removing the Indian forces at the direction of King Mahendra. Although he was a nationalist he could not contribute despite his capacity to do so. He worked what he was told to do by the King. So I thought he was also a worthless person.

After the referendum, I was indignant seeing the corruption of PM Surya Bahadur Thapa, and I went on to issue a caustic diatribe against him at the parliament as a Member of Parliament in my capacity. I call him as a broker of India, for he maintains a good relation with the Indira's Congress of India. When the royal institution was active in Nepal Surya Bahadur posed as a staunch royalist, and pillaged the state coffer. He became a republican when the monarch was deposed. Should we or shouldn’t we mention by name such a fatal person in national politics?

Then I lent my support to Lokendra Bahadur in supporting him for the position of chairman of National Panchayat. Pashupati Shumsher reprimanded me saying- ‘who are you to make Lokendra the chairman?’ Pashupati Shumsher had wanted to make his person the chairman to consolidate the power of his faction. I replied, 'Oh, Rana, what do you want? I am a son of a farmer, I don’t know intrigues.' The next day he was reprimanded by D.P Adhikary and Padma Sundar Lawati among others, asked him to forge alliance with Dirgha Raj. At the parliament the next day Pashupati Shumsher sat beside me and behaved amicably, but I kept silent. In lobbying at various power centers I was successful in making Lokendra Bahadur the chairman. Later we were successful in hauling him to the post of PM also. Later we came to know that Lokendra Bahadur was also a nonstarter as well as visionless. In 2001 King Gyanendra appointed him the PM. It was revealed then he was a brute. I wrote-' King had to ride on an elephant, unluckily he rode on the back of a donkey-Lokendra Bahadur as a PM. Then I left him instantly.

Then the corrupt Panchas were increasing in numbers. The policy of Gaun Pharka, (return to Village-national campaign) which was declared by King Mahendra- the policy to serve the village people-1967. After 8 years, under the initiative of the secretary Dr. Mohammed Mohasin started to enforce a one-sided structure. This policy of return to village was going to be misused. So I opposed it openly. Marichman Singh was the PM but he was unable to do anything. I again opposed– this time, his impotency. The PM complained giving my tape cassette to the King Birendra. After listening to my tape, the king appreciated my statement in the parliament. After the next day, Marishman Singh thanked me with shaking hands. The tape is till now is secured with me.

There was widespread corruption and embezzlement. Everywhere people were frustrated. And then, with the support of foreign powers the Congress and the communists formed a joint front to launch an uprising as the regime was becoming more and more dictatorial. After an agreement with King Birendra, NC and UML came to power. NC leader Krishna Prasad Bhattarai became the PM after 1990 he was under pressure from Girija, so he could not carry out any works in national interest. From unseen pressure he released many murders and Christians from prisons. He distributed Rs. 150 million in name of political victims. Although he did not bear any malice towards the nation he contributed no more than in constitution making process. In 1990 during his visit to India he allowed himself to fall into a controversial Indian stratagem by signing a 10-point pact.

After 1991 Girija Prasad Koirala started to impose his monopoly. After the election, Girija after becoming the PM pillaged the state coffer. At the beginning I helped in creating an atmosphere as far as I could to contribute in supporting Girija in the election for he was the brother of BP Koirala. Congress leader Girija could not tolerate the communists. So, Communists also were furious. Girija's life was in danger. So, I sent a leftist leader, requesting to Maheshor Oli (who stood jail for 19 years)- my nephew by relation, to Sunsari for his protection. Girija was so grateful for his support that he thanked him many times. Later he was killed may be his communist friends, and that surprised me that he did not even receive a condolence. Regardless, Girija became the PM. I used to send him advice but he was the topmost corrupt leader in the nation. He was responsible for the bankruptcy of all industries established under Chinese support and the Airlines Corporation. He monopolized customs. He selected the most corrupt individuals to take up the top posts at government offices. Then I started writing articles substantiated with evidences in regards the numerous corruption scandals involving. I came out openly against these corrupts and traitors.

The Maoist insurgency started from the indignation that sprouted from treason and corruption of NC and UML. I initially gave my reluctant support to the insurgency in hope that it would give some solution to the nation. When I came to know that Indian intelligence agency was attempting to manipulate the Maoists I started writing against the insurgency. After 1999, I participated in the nation-wide agitation that was resonant with the slogan of ‘Come King Save the Nation’. All the patriotic forces were motivated. Our political agenda was to instill fear of the monarch in the ruling parties and opposition. It did send a shiver into the bones of NC and UML. At a time when the situation was likely to demand a compulsory takeover from the King in the interest of the nation, the fashy love affair (because, she had given an interview that she was not interested to be the queen) between Prince Dipendra and Pashupati Shumsher’s daughter Devyani came to limelight. At the same time under the direction of RAW chief in Nepal, P Hormich, the royal massacre took place. Instantly, she had to fly to India for her security.

As per the constitution the Nepal Army, NC and UML consented in enthroning King Gyanendra. The Indian intelligence was able to exploit the situation as the advisors of King Gyanendra were feeble-minded. Then I came into opposition to alert the King. I was prevented in my path to the King. A patriotic person like me was branded an anti-royalist. I did not loose my hopes.

And then, India started influence among the leaders in Maoists’ party, NC and UML. It turned the people and the party leaders in the opposition against the royal institution. Under Indian direction since November 2005 the parties remained united to launch an uprising to capture state power. Not everyone was aware of the substratum of the agitation. India spent billions. S.D Muni wrote an article in ‘The Hindu’, an Indian newspaper on 15 September 2008 saying that India had handed Rs. 1 billion for the agitation. How much money did India spend for the agitation through various channels? At that moment the European nations also lent their support to the agitation. When the U.S came to know that the Maoists were operated from India it also extended its support.

In March 2005 a bloody agitation started. During the agitation the Maoists and Christians made attempts to provoke the agitators to make the situation uncontrollable. King Gyanendra agreed to reach a consensus to stop the agitation and save the nation from a blood bath. Then the traitors-agents foreigners started attacking the royal institution. They deposed the King with conspirator role. They themselves became the head of state. In such a situation the King though it more prudent to leave the royal palace and hand over the responsibility of the crown, and head to Nagarjun forest. Nepal turned into a battleground for the foreign powers. In such condition shouldn’t the names of the traitors be mentioned?

The duty of a true patriot is no less. None of the nations would remain safe in breaking away from its national identity and traditions. It is time for us all patriots to become aware and to give sacrifices for the existence of the nation. The CA had been dissolved. All the legitimate grounds that were created through the CA elections are irrelevant. With the dissolution of the CA and the failure of the parties to come up with a new constitution, the relevance of the interim constitution has also ended since 27 May. To try to give continuity to the interim constitution is to court a civil war. Those who stripped themselves for money and position in support of the Indian intelligence agency after 2006 have no right to think more in Nepal’s interest. Any punishment would be less for these traitors, who tried to sell the nation by reaching the 12-point understanding in Delhi in 2006 in name of Loktantra (Indiantantra). If the state takes action against at least 20/25 of such traitors, 90 % Bahuns, the rest will run away.

The dissident Maoists led by Mohan Vaidya had opposed such traitors. Unless this faction opposes the 12-point understanding reached on 11 November 2005, the secularism and republic cannot be trusted. Should one become republican and secular just because that person is a communist? The Nepalese people cannot trust Mohan Vaidya, CP Gajurel, Ram Bahadur Thapa, Dev Gurung, Matrika Yadav and their colleagues unless they clarify the type of nationalism they are envisioning. Anyway, Maoists, Congress and UML leaders are the stooges of Indian conspiracy that have worked in bringing Nepal to current crisis. The state must immediately take control of these elements to hand out necessary punishments.

In the event that parliament and the constitution becomes inoperative, on basis on legal ground, it is our tradition that the nation is governed through permanent organs of the state as Nepal Army, the court, police institution and the legal administration. Nepal Army-legally is the safeguard of nationality. It is the only authority that can carryout all necessary works. As the nation is drowning, the Nepal Army must act quickly to capture the state, and hand over the nation to His Majesty as per the 1990 constitution. In 1950 the Rana regime enthroned the King Gyanendra when he was still a child-three year. In 2001 the parties made him the King. It is now his auspicious fortune to become the King for a third time. Thus, at the joint initiative of the army and the people, the presence of the royal institution must be acknowledged to save the nation. There are no other alternative.
