Another EPDP member killed by the LTTE

The Eelam People Democratic Party(EPDP) Vavuniya district head office observed the second year commemoration of the death of EPDP member and comrade Kesavan, who was killed by the LTTE,last Monday (20 August) sources from EPDP told the “Lanka Guardian.”

Nadarajah Kesavaraman alias Kesavan was shot dead by LTTE at Samalankulam, Vavuniya, while he engaged in social works on 20.08.2005 at 4.30 p.m. The commemoration ceremony was held in the Vavuniya EPDP office headed by the EPDP Vavuniya district organizer and all island JP Comrade Sivan Sivakumar (Rahu) with the participation of the EPDP members and public. The participants made flower tribute to the portrait of Kesavan.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe on the 22 February 2002, were engaged in killings of their opponents. Comrade Kesavan was shot on his back while he was engaged in social service amidst the LTTE threat. The coward LTTE killed the unarmed Kesavan. The LTTE destroyed only the body of Kesavan, but not his policy. We will work towards our goal to serve the people without fearing the LTTE and work for the rights of Tamil speaking people, he said further.
