Mission Impossible

(March 25, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) The reclusive editor hiding in a hellhole in Sweden has published a fuming article titled ‘Sri Lanka's traitors: enemies within, on the prowl’ (Mon, 2008-03-24 13:33). In the article he has discharged his anger once again against the Sri Lanka High Commissioner in London.

The editor Mr. KTR came under severe public scrutiny for his unjustified outburst and interference in the administration of some of the Sri Lanka foreign missions. In his latest article the reclusive editor branded the Sri Lankan High Commissioners and the Ambassadors as ‘Traitors within the country’ and went on to harp on the London based High Commissioner Kshenuka Seneviratne.

In his jumble write up, he accused her for not stopping a conference held by the LTTE front Global Peace Support Group in London. Without verifying the details, he went on state that the High Commission allowed the function to go ahead blatantly. In order to discharge his anger, the reclusive editor stated to the contrary that Barry Gardener and MP (Labor), Stephen Timms- MP (Labor) had spoken at the meeting.

Before writing this piece, the desperate reclusive editor went on a spree to discharge his hate to various people on the phone. Unable to elicit their co-operation, he went on with his tirade in a ludicrous manner to discharge his anger.

Sri Lanka Watch received an email from one Niman Nandasena living in Germany stating: ‘what Asian Tribune editor wanting is the Foreign Minister job from Mahinda Rajapakse and he is strenuously trying to create a situation to convince the President to make him the FM of the country’.

I read the Asian Tribune article. I also noticed Mr Douglas Wickramaratne making some adverse comments. I thought Douglas is a well connected man. If he had concerns he should have taken through proper channels. Why is he going after this corrupt journalist K T Raja to make his point. It is really a tragedy. Respectable people can't make value judgement and chosing cheap slandering ways.

Come on guys, Stop fighting, and do something useful.

This is childish.

I also agree that SL - High Commissioner to UK is wasitng money, two new luxury cars - one brand new, the other one just 03 years old, luxury neighbour hood and doing nothing.

They are wasting foreign exchange earned by poor women earned in the Middle east.

Don't you think so.

As far as I understand, many media, both online and printed, in Sri Lanka have published many articles about the alleged misconducts of High commissioner in London as well as in some other EU countries. So I wonder why you guys are in an all out war with the editor AT regarding this issue. In principal, I don't think any one should white wash corrupted set of people even if they are high ranking officials, when there are many evidences to prove that these claims are true.
