25 LTTE bodies recovered


(June 27, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Security forces have recovered the bodies of 25 LTTE cadres killed in the confrontations with the military the Chiraddikulama area in Vavuniya on Thursday (June 26). The bodies were handed over to the hospital in Vavuniya on this evening.

The bodies were recovered by troops who were engaged in search and clearing operations while consolidating the newly established defenses in the area, security sources said.

Troops have also uncovered 20, T-56 assault riffles, 01x 12.7mm anti-air craft machinegun , 02x RPG launchers and 01x Light machinegun, MCNS sources said.
