LTTE front fundraising thamasha in London

(June 03, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) LTTE front Tharisanam TV which succeeded the now defunct Tamil Television Network (TTN) held a fundraising programme in Harrow in London on 31 May 2008. The fundraising event titled ‘Raaga Sangamam 2008’ was held at the Zoroastrian Centre, 440 Alexandra Avenue, Harrow, Middlesex and the tickets were sold on telephonic requests (0208 920 2111 or 0208 865 2764).

Tharisanam TV is run by Sockalingam Karunalingam who was the Manager of the now defunct TTN. The website run by Karunalinam published photographs of the event (reproduced below) which failed to disclose the crowd attending the function. The photograph confirmed the newly elected Southall and Ealing MP Virendra Sharma, publicity seeker C Paul Sathyansan and former BBC Thamil Oasai head Anandhi Sooryapiragasam speaking at the event.

Virendra Sharma MP is a pro-LTTE supporter and he had elongated the LTTE head Pirabakaran as a dynamic character and praised the LTTE suicide cadres as hero’s who are sacrificing their lives for a precious cause prior to becoming an MP. He pa
