Pongu Thamil – A money making event for the LTTE

(July 17, London, Sri Lanka Guardain) Further evidence is emerging that the UK proscribed LTTE was able to collect large sums of funds from holding Pongu Thamil event in South London on 12 July 2008. In addition to filling standing order forms, the LTTE activists belonging to its UK front British Tamil Forum (BTF) sold specially made LTTE souvenirs, umbrellas, T’shirts and many other items.

Terrorism Act in the UK prohibits glorifying terrorism and collecting funds for a terrorist cause. The British Tamil Forum which is the UK arm of the LTTE is accused of undermining the Terrorism Act and involving heavily in the LTTE activities.

Lies, lies and more lies...
So to the British authorities, Osama Bin Laden is considered equal to Pirabakaran? I think I can guess which one they would rather catch...

And again, you do nothing but type utter garbage! They had to use barriers because it was an LTTE event?? Are you seriously that brain dead? These are the very same barriers that they use in music concerts and other programs held in open spaces!

I would honestly love to know who or what your "sources" are. Because if any of them were there at the event, they would know that no video message was shown at all. There was not even a screen for a video to be shown! But of course, your "sources" have to tell you something... right?

Just when I think that you've published enough rubbish..."mainly youngsters who had migrated to the UK from other EU countries"? Firstly, how would you even know this? Did you survey each of the youths who attended and interrogated them on their background? Secondly, what you are saying is just not true. The majority were not "youngsters from the EU" but I saw an extremely mixed crowd from people of all ages! And since the event was held in London, I'm assuming that the extreme majority of people there would have been full UK citizens.

10,000 people came to the event, or so you were told from your ever so reliable "sources". I have no exact number to quote, but I would estimate that a lot more than that came throughout the day, braving the typical British weather! All in all, it was an extremely great turnout, and let's face it, a lot more than you will ever get to attend your functions ;)

Seriously, you just don't stop with the garbage. Off you go again, "the LTTE attire of red and orange dresses". I was not aware that the guerilla fighters of the feared LTTE, had swapped their army fatigues for "red and orange dresses"! At least then a SLA soldier would have a better chance of shooting them, right? Honestly though, wearing red and orange is now the new LTTE uniform? Get a grip! Now people cannot even wear coloured clothing without being labelled "terrorists"!

And last but not least, the forms being filled out at the event were not for fund raising, but for collecting signatures for a petition to be sent to Gordon Brown.

If you have any rebuttal to this, please publish it, because I have read nothing but a fabricated report full of lies and propaganda. I assume that you won't reply to this, simply because you will have nothing to say, knowing you are wrong. I'm looking forward to hearing from you...

I have this to say....all you fools who attend to these pongu whatever..are fatening some people's bank accounts and sending more poor people's children in the wanni to sun god's altar. How about sending some of your own children to the sun god to sacrifice?
