Ex-National Blood Centre Director interdicted



(September 02, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Former Director of the National Blood Centre (NBC) Dr. Mangalika Bindusara and another doctor who served there have been interdicted pending an inquiry.

The move came as the Health Ministry was investigating serious allegations against the NBC that expired apheresis kits were used on trusting donors and also critically-ill patients.

The other doctor interdicted was Dr. K.M.I.L.A. Nazir.
