Tigers Use Small Tamil Children in Switzerland for Propaganda and Fund Raising

(September 14, Geneva, Sri Lanka Guardian) Following their military set back in the face of the Sri Lankan security forces, The LTTE, one of the world’s most ruthless terrorist organizations, according to the FBI, has increased its propaganda and fund raising events in the countries in the West. In funding its separatist-terrorist war in Sri Lanka over the past quarter century, the LTTE has largely been dependent on the financial support (obtained often by force) of the Tamil Diaspora in these countries.

Recently, an LTTE front organization, Tamil Art and Culture Organisation in Threau, Switzerland, along with LTTE administered Tamil schools in the area, had staged a drama. This drama had been designed to rouse and inculcate Tamil sentiments and violence among the younger generation of the Tamil Diaspora in Switzerland. The LTTE partisans had tried to do this by making small Tamil children – who were as young as 8 years and have probably never set foot in Sri Lanka where the LTTE is waging its secessionist-terrorist war against the Sri Lankan state-, carry dummies of sophisticated weapons like RPG’s, Mortar tubes, Machine guns, etc. Photographs of this event are given below.

At the same time, the LTTE agents in Europe continue to raise funds for their terrorist organization. They urge the Diaspora to help Tamils in the war-torn north by contributing to the Tamil Rehabilitation Organisation (TRO) - an NGO which is banned in many countries due to its close links with the LTTE. While pro-LTTE TV and radio channels like GTV (Global Tamil vision, earlier Thenral TV), CTR (Canadian Tamil Radio), IBC are engaged in making this request, pro-LTTE Western radio stations have also reportedly broadcast a similar request by TNA MPs and the head of TRO, ‘Regi’, living in Wanni. Some of these media air live talk shows with Tamil people from Wanni, during which the latter would request money from the Diaspora for the Tamil cause. The amount of money donated and the names of the donors are also announced during these live shows.

The LTTE had used this method of collecting money during the post-Tsunami period. Due to lack of proper supervision, the terrorist organization has so far managed to raise large sums of money for its secessionist war in Sri Lanka. Therefore, it’s necessary that the authorities of the respective countries stay vigilant and take necessary action to prevent the LTTE from continuing to use the Tamil Diaspora and dupe the generous, but sometimes ignorant, Westerners to further its own malefic intentions.
