(October 10, Kilinochchi, Sri Lanka Guardian) Two civilians including a schoolteacher were killed and seven more wounded in an air strike this morning, 10th 0f October 2008 , a political wing of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam said in a official statement.
According to the statement, 'around 6.45, Sri Lankan Air force targeted a civilian settlement in Kumarapuram, 1 km west of Paranthan.'
"The wounded were immediately admitted to the Kilinochchi hospital. Arumainathan Santhirathevi, 52, and her 10-year-old daughter Arumainathan Archika were killed in this air attack."
However, a spokesman of the SLAF wing commander Nanayakkara speaking to Media said, the third air strike (Three air strikes within thirty minutes) was taken targeting a den of LTTE suicide bombers, also known as Black Tigers located 1.5 Km west of Paranthan, he added.- Sri Lanka Guardian
