The plague of Pro-LTTE Diaspora on the Tamils

A Sri Lanka Guardian concern

(April 21, Washington, Sri Lanka Guardian) We are very much tempted to publish a letter from a Dr Mervyn Samuel in Ohio, USA to Mr Jayantha Gnanakone which was copied to many people. By making it a public document we felt it is important to make this known far and wide for what it has expressed with regards to the Tamils in Sri Lanka.

Here is what Mr Gnanakone said and the letter of Dr Mervyn Samuel:

Jayantha Gnanakone: “I am rushing to the studio for an interview with Al Jazeera in 2 hours. (9 PM). It is going to be the most difficult interview, I have done with them.

Dear Jayantha,

I consider that you are one of the important Tamil leaders in the US. You have done more than any one for the Tamil community in the US. It is sad that the Tamils in Sri Lanka who are still alive are in great danger. The Sinhalese turned out to be smarter than the Tamils. Some one said that 3 big mistakes were done. !.Not accepting what Rajiv Gandhi negotiated.2.Killing Rajiv Gandhi. 3. Preventing the Tamils from voting for Ranil. There is still some chance of a miracle happening.

Here is an example of a Tamil Diaspora professional writing to Mr Gnanakone who retained Bruce Feign to bring about an indictment against Mr Gothabaya Rajapakse and Major General Sarath Fonseka.

In his letter, Dr Mervyn Samuel said:

“It is sad that the Tamils in Sri Lanka who are still alive are in great danger.”

If this is the view of an obviously educated man living in the west why blame all those young people who were misled and misdirected into the Tiger den?

Unfortunately there are many like Dr Samuel in the west who are certainly a danger to the interests of the Tamils in Sri Lanka. We hope Dr Samuel will have the honour to respond to this concern of ours.

We also appeal to him not to encourage Tiger terrorism to take the international stage and earn for this great community of ours a name such as the Global Paraiyas of Terrorism.
