(April 02, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Postal voting for the Western Provincial Council elections began this morning. The Elections Secretariat said that voting would continue until tomorrow.
W. G. Sumanasiri, Additional Commissioner of Elections said that 35,424 persons were eligible to cast postal votes in today’s WPC polls.
Meanwhile, Senior DIG in charge of elections, Gamini Navaratne said that stringent security measures were in force throughout the province until such time postal voting concludes. -Sri Lanka Guardian
