Foreign Minister visits China to strengthen bi lateral ties

(July 01, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama commenced a four day visit to China from today ( 1 July 2009) on an invitation for bilateral consultations with Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi.

Minister Bogollagama will pay a courtesy call on the Vice President of China, Vincent Siew, and Vice Premier Li Ke Qiang. During his visit Minister Bogollagama is scheduled to speak on “ Post conflict Sri Lanka and the Way ahead” at the prestigious China Institute of International Studies ( CIIS). The Foreign Minister will meet the business community and the Sri Lankan expatriate community in China during his visit.
