(October 24, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Recently Mahinda Rajapaksa stressed in a party women’s conference at Moneragala, that he is prepared to face any court anywhere in the world on behalf of the Sri Lankan military officers who carried out his order to wipe out terrorism in the country, nefarious elements are now concocting evidence against the patriotic leaders of the armed forces, threatening to bring them before courts for anti-terrorist actions in Sri Lanka. Those who are scheming should remember that the officers were simply carrying out orders given by him as the Commander-in–Chief and that he would bear the responsibility for all commands issued to save the country from the villainy of terrorism.

Straightway now General Fonseka has issued with restraint order from US top official to avoid his presence at U.S. and Asia-Pacific region command and energy summit, which schedule to held at Honolulu HAWAI. .In more president and defence secretary had been aware of this US official issue prior to same convey to General Fonseka by U.S. Ambassador Patricia Butenisa .Thus Defence secretry has provoked, Army commander to channel some other officer and arrange a delegation to this key military summit in lieu of General Fonseka. According to US official, possible War crimes .Gen. Fonseka read as follows,

* Charge of genocide, as recognized by Article 2(a), (b), and (c) of the 1949 Geneva Convention, punishable under subsection (a)(1), (a)(2), and (a)(4) of section 1091 of title 18, United States Code

* Charge of torture, a violation of the laws or customs of war, as recognized by Common Article 3(1)(a) of the Geneva Conventions of 1949, punishable under subsection (d)(1)(A) of section 2441 of title 18, United States Code, punishable under subsection (a) of section 2340A of title 18, United States Code

* Charge of murder, a violation of the laws or customs of war, as recognized by Common Article 3(1)(a) of the Geneva Conventions of 1949, and punishable under subsection (d)(1)(D) of section 2441 of title 18, United States Code. Now Mahinda Rajapaksha and Gotabaya keep mum over this tragic issue as well their own conspiracy.
