(October 29, Kathmandu, Sri Lanka Guardian) Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa is set to arrive in Kathmandu on a two-day official visit to Nepal on today (Thursday).
According to the Presidential Media Unit of Sri Lanka, Rajapaksa is visiting Nepal to complete his early visit to Nepal. He had cut short his three-day visit in March this year following an attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Pakistan.
During his stay here, Rajapaksa is scheduled to meet his Nepali counterpart Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and other top political leaders.
He will also visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, and inaugurate a monastery constructed by Sri Lanka. -Sri Lanka Guardian
