(December 19, Kandy, Sri Lanka Guardian) Gen (retd) Sarath Fonskea said he would address the cost of living problem immediately after being elected to power among other issues.
Gen Fonseka addressing the inaugural election rally in Kandy said he would make provision to increase salaries of government servants by Rs. 10,000 , reduce the cost of living and ensure that law and order is restored.
He vowed to go ahead with abolishing the executive presidency, eliminating corruption, punish those responsible for involved in corruption. -Sri Lanka Guardian
