EXCLUSIVE TO SRI LANKA GUARDIAN

(September 04, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) When lawyers who filed objections to the 18 Amendment Bill appeared in court, they were relying on a a draft which had been leaked out of the Cabinet. This is the copy certified by the Cabinet to be urgent in the national interest. However during the arguments the AG cited several provisions which are different to this. The court received the draft that the AG was using. The draft bill had been changed from the one that was approved by the cabinet.
