India denies Colombo

(March 10, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The Indian High Commission in Colombo today denied the claims made by Prime Minister D.M.Jayaratna that there were three LTTE training camps in Tamil Nadu.

Spokesman for the Indian High Commission in Colombo Birender Singh Yadav told the Media based in Colombo that the statement was ‘baseless’ and a response will follow.

The Prime Minister speaking during the emergency debate in parliament said that LTTE terrorists are being trained in three different locations in Tamil Nadu under the supervision of Pugalendran Master, a close associate of former LTTE Ingelligence wing leader Pottu Amman.

He told Parliament the training was given to carry-out violence in Sri Lanka and specially trained to target high profile Indian politicians.
