( February 13, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Private bus operators have decided to call off their strike after the government agreed on a 20 per cent increase with effect from midnight today, President of the Lanka Private Bus Operators Association Gemunu Wijeratne said.
Accordingly the minimum fare will increase from Rs 7.00 to Rs. 9.00.
The bus services are expected to return to normal by tomorrow morning.
